Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result service. Our servers do not retain a copy of those queries. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Like most hosted services, the host may create ordinary logs that include an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review that data in aggregate to maintain the service and understand use patterns. Cookies or similar tools can support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
We use this limited data to operate the reference, resolve technical problems, measure overall traffic, and improve pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Brookline, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, library, archive, and third-party search services. Their own policies control information submitted on those destinations. Sponsored search results are also supplied by a third party.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting and support providers process relevant server information for us. Analytics and advertising partners can receive the automatic technical data described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
How We Protect Your Data
The reference uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. There are no site accounts, passwords, or visitor profiles stored by us.
Users Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if a minor has sent information, and we will remove it.
Your Information Requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information held by a service. Because we retain very little, we can review the contact mailbox and relevant logs when a request is made through the Contact page. Public records held by Brookline, Norfolk County, or Massachusetts custodians are outside our control. Massachusetts public-record requests are governed separately by Massachusetts General Laws chapter 66, §10, with exemptions including chapter 4, §7(26), and should be directed to the office holding the record.
Updates to This Policy
Any revision will appear on this page. Continued use after a posted change means that you accept the revised policy.
